Mental Health America of West Central Indiana provides street outreach services to identify and assist individuals experiencing homelessness and who also have a mental illness.


Mental Health America of West Central Indiana, Inc. was awarded a grant to implement a homeless outreach program in Indiana Region 7 from Indiana Division of Mental Health & Addictions (DMHA) and the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).

Daniel’s Project, a PATH program, was created to provide street outreach to identify individuals experiencing homelessness or at risk of becoming homeless to offer assistance in linking to community resources. This program is aimed at closing the service gap for this population and allowing the opportunity to receive the needed services to work toward self-sufficiency.

To Be Eligible:
 Individuals must be considered homeless without a permanent residence or be at risk of homelessness.

Medication Cost Assistance

The program provides low-income, uninsured adults and children with assistance to purchase an emergency supply of psychiatric medication.
